Softasept® N is a ready-to-use, alcoholic solution for skin disinfection before minor and major interventions.
In addition to the broad microbicidal effect, the rapid onset of action from 15 seconds onwards and the long-term and deep action of the preparation are particularly characteristic.

Areas of application
For skin disinfection before surgical interventions, punctures, injections, blood sampling and vaccinations.

Mode of application and dosage
Apply Softasept® N undiluted and rub in with a swab. Wet the skin areas to be treated completely and keep moist for the prescribed exposure time. Allow to dry after the exposure time. Dab off excess solution. During preoperative skin disinfection, avoid puddling under the patient because of possible skinirritation. Before using electrical equipment, the preparation must be completely dry on the skin.
Spectrum of action/action time
for skin with few sebaceous glands*:
- 15 s before injections and punctures
- before joint punctures, punctures of the cerebrospinal fluid area and before operations at least 60 s
for skin rich in sebaceous glands*:
- before all procedures at least 10 min.
