Fields of application/Handling
To be applied on the skin and to prepare cold compresses.
Skin disinfectionbefore simple injection and puncturing of peripheral
vessels, beforesurgeries and puncturing joints, disinfection of
skin that is rich in sebum glands, cold compresses.

Contraindictions
INTERMED skin disinfection is not suitable to disinfect open
wounds.

Interactions with other mediums
Not known.

Side effects
When rubbed into the skin, erythemas and mild burning can occur.

2-Propanol 63.1 g, excipient: purified water.

Concentration and application times
Skin disinfection before injections, puncturing of peripheral vessels: conc. 30s,
Skin disinfection before surgeries, puncturing of joints,
body cavities, hollow organs: on skin that is low in sebum glands: conc. 1 min;
skin that is rich in sebum glands: conc. 10 min.
For cold compresses apply the solution with equal parts
water.

WARNINGS
Highly flammable! Keep away from sources of ignition! Store tightly closed. When spilling the solution, take immediate actions against fire and explosion. Suitable measures are e.g. the collection of the spilled liquid or the dilutation with water, ventilation of the room and the elimination of ignition sources. Keep medicine out of reach of children. Do not use anymore after expiry date.

Intermed Skin Disinfection
Active ingredient:2-propanol 70% (V/V). Alcoholic skin disinfection.
Composition: 100 g solution contain: Active ingredient: 63.1 g 2-propanol. Other ingredient: purified water. Indications for use: Skin disinfection before simple injections and punctures of peripheral vessels, skin disinfection before operations and before punctures of joints, disinfection of skin rich in sebaceous glands, cooling wraps. Contraindications: Not suitable for disinfection of open wounds. Side effects: When rubbing intothe skin, redness and slight burning may occur. Warnings: Highly flammable! Keep away from sources of ignition! Store tightly closed. In case of spillage of the solution, take immediate measures against fire and explosion. Suitable measures include absorbing the spilled liquid with water, ventilating the room and removing sources of ignition. Keepmedicines out of reach of children. Do not use after expiry date.
