The disinfection plan is a standard plan based on the requirements of BGR 250 which must be adapted to the local circumstances in thepractice. The user is responsible to check for completeness, correctness and topicality.

Regular instructions on personal hygiene, behaviour in case of risk of infection and measures for disinfection and sterilisation are prescribed (DGUV Regulation 1). In case of decontamination ordered by authorities due to communicable diseases that need to be reported, means and methods from the list of the Robert-Koch Institute shall apply (§ 18 IfSG). Risk assessment and classification of thereprocessed medical devices shall be carried out.
